Lewis Allen Collection

Lewis Allen was taking pictures for a Freshman college photography project in Rochester, NY when The Biggest Show Of Stars came to the Rochester Auditorium on January 19, 1958. The newspapers were not interested in the latest "kids phenomenon" so he was the only photographer there. The musicians were honored to be photographed & gave him free reign as to when & where he could take pictures.


When the bus arrived, he jumped on & saw the mood was very somber..."another town, another show"




He got many great photos from the show which also included the Everly Brothers & Duane Eddy
