This 45 was released on the Parkway label (Parkway 974) as both "The Camps" in 1965 and by "The Campers" in 1966. Producer Jim Thomas recommended since the TV show "Shindig" was going to be replaced by a new show "Batman" that Sonny Curtis & J.I. Allison should see if either one of these songs would get interest and be used as a theme song.
The songs were "The Ballad Of Batman / Batmobile", both written by Sonny Curtis - Recorded in Odessa, Texas: personnel was Sonny Curtis (vocals & guitar), J.I. Allison (drums), Tommy Allsup (guitar) and others.
