Buzz Cason

Born James Cason, Tennessee in 1939

Buzz joined The Crickets in 1964 following the ill health of Jerry Naylor. He had previously been with a group called The Casuals. Recording on his own as "Gary Miles" he scored a US top 20 hit "Look For A Star", and wrote the hit song "Everlasting Love".

Buzz hooked up with The Crickets through his association with Snuff Garrett at Liberty Records. Heavily involved with A&R for Liberty, he also had a large part in not only performing, but producing the group.

He has constantly been in the music business primarily producing groups, and appears on many of The Crickets new releases as a guest vocalist (Double Exposure, Too Much Monday Morning), you can see what he is currently up with his "Music Nashville" company at his web site below.
